If you spent any time within the Cincinnati craft beer and brewery scene you probably ran into Mike Cisneros at some point. He was a guy full of positivity and good times. Sadly he passed away in August of this year which was a huge blow to the community, friends and his family. He was very loved by all.
Mike wouldn’t want us to dwell over his passing, instead he would want us to celebrate his life and what we all love, craft beer. Some local breweries banded together with Mike’s family and friends to craft a beer in his honor dubbed “Big Cis.” Braxton Brewing Company, Rivertown Brewery and Barrel House, Fibonacci Brewing Company, MadTree Brewing, Bad Tom Smith Brewing, and Alexandria Brewing Company all came together to collaborate on one of Mike’s favorite styles, the pilsner.
The Big Cis Pilsner will be released on Saturday November 5th at Braxton Brewing Company in Covington, Kentucky. “The beer will go on tap at 5pm and in collaboration with People. Pints. Purpose. we’re inviting the entire community.” The Cincy Brewcast will be in attendance and there will be raffle prizes raising money for the Boy Scouts of America and the Reds Community Fund.
So come on out on Saturday November 5th and join us for a celebration in honor of Mike.
