Williamsburg, OH—September 11, 2017—The Old Firehouse Brewery (OFB) in Williamsburg, Ohio has named Chris Wright as its new brewmaster. Wright lives in Williamsburg and has extensive experience in home brewing. He is a member of the Williamsburg Fire/EMS organization, a natural fit for the brewery’s thematic fire-fighter identity.
“I could not be more pleased with Chris and his willingness to quickly come up to speed working with a larger brewing system,” comments Adam Cowan, owner, Old Firehouse Brewery. “We have a local-oriented philosophy here at Old Firehouse. As a Williamsburg resident, Chris elevates that reputation. In addition, he brings a wealth of enthusiasm and dedication to the position, and we expect him to be an instrumental player as we continue our industry journey.”
Wright replaces former brewmaster, Ben Ramsey, who left to pursue other opportunities.
OFB plans to keep its current core line-up of beers and increase production volume as two primary short-term objectives. Moving forward, the brewery also wants to expand the number of beers in its core line-up as well as grow its seasonal offerings.
OFB is owned and operated by husband and wife team Adam Cowan and Lori Ward, and is located at 237 W. Main Street, Williamsburg, Ohio 45176. OFB works with its distribution partner, Cincinnati-based Cavalier Distributing, to makes its beer available throughout Ohio, including current availability of three signature beers in cans – Code 3, Pin Up Girl and Flash Point.
