Every time another Braxton Block party is announced I get super excited. They are some of the best times I’ve had at a brewery event. Winter is coming, but that doesn’t stop the party! Braxton just dropped December 3rd as the date of their Winter Block Party as well as some juicy details on what to expect.
Braxton’s Block Parties are a celebration of everything they are about and everyone who supports them. It’s a chance to give back to their patrons and release some tasty beers in the process. If you remember their winter party last year they released some wonderful barrel aged varients of their Dark Charge Imperial Stout, this year is no different. Let’s take a look at this years offerings:
A very limited amount of Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout ($13) and four variants ($15) will be hand numbered and released at noon. The four variants are:
- Bourbon Barrel-Aged with Madagascar Vanilla Beans
- Bourbon Barrel-Aged with Starter Coffee
- Bourbon Barrel-Aged with Toasted Coconut (Builders Select)
- Bourbon Barrel Aged with Ancho Chile, Vanilla, Cinnamon and Cocoa
- Bourbon Maple Barrel Aged Dark Charge
Bourbon Maple Barrel Aged Dark Charge? Yes! Braxton originally released the first four variants, but teased us with another one a week ago and it’s here…The Gnarly Gnome did one hell of a writeup on it and you should go read about it!
You will need to be there early to ensure you get all of the variants if you want them! Trust me they will go quick. Jake Rouse recently addressed some people wondering why they weren’t doing pre-orders that the Cincinnati beer community has grown to love them for. Trust me it’s a good reason. Come on out and enjoy their block party. That’s what it’s all about.
On top of their dark charge releases the block party will feature beer from friends of Braxton:
Upland Brewing Company
Rivertown Brewery and Barrel House
West Sixth Brewing
Oskar Blues Brewery
New Belgium Brewing
Blank Slate Brewing Company
Against The Grain Brewery
Central State Brewing
Country Boy Brewing
Fifty West Brewing Company
You can catch the full tap list over on Braxton’s website here.
Three food trucks will also be at the event:
Cuban Pete Sandwiches
Texas Joe The Legal Mexican Tex-Mex Food Truck
And to top it off there will be live music under the heated tent in their side parking lot. Sounds like it’s going to be one heck of a party. More details will emerge as the event gets closer. For now head on over to the event page on Facebook to get updates as they are announced.
Cheers all! See you there!
